Information Regarding Law Enforcement Requests for Data

PaidInSatoshi (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") values the vital work of law enforcement agencies worldwide. We are committed to cooperating with these agencies wherever possible, subject to applicable laws and company policies. This Law Enforcement Request Portal has been established to enhance transparency and streamline the processing of legal requests for information related to production orders, preservation orders, and fund freezing. This policy is effective as of 1st of January 2025.

PaidInSatoshi does not voluntarily disclose non-public information to any requesting party. In accordance with Panama legislation and global data privacy standards, PaidInSatoshi will only disclose non-public user information if we have received the user’s consent and in response to a legitimate and enforceable subpoena, court order, or search warrant issued by a body with jurisdiction over PaidInSatoshi.

We take data protection and security seriously. For more details, please consult our Privacy Policy

General Guidelines

When law enforcement agencies request non-public information (e.g., a user’s personal or financial information):

  1. User Consent and Legal Authority Required:

We will not share non-public information unless we have the user’s prior consent to disclose it and an enforceable court order, subpoena, or search warrant has been issued and received by us.

  2. Notification to Users:

We will notify affected users if legally required to disclose their information to a law enforcement agency, unless prohibited by law.

  3. Merchant and Customer Information:

If a law enforcement request pertains to a merchant’s customers who are not PaidInSatoshi users, we cannot and will not provide this information. Such data is under the merchant’s possession, control, and custody as the controller and processor. Law enforcement agencies must contact the merchant directly.

  4. Specificity of Requests:

We will only disclose information explicitly requested in a valid and enforceable legal request. Vague, ambiguous, or blanket requests cannot be processed.

  5. Case-by-Case Review:

Every legal request for information is evaluated individually. This policy does not constitute legal advice or guarantee a specific response to requests. We reserve the right to modify this policy or these guidelines at our sole discretion at any time.

  6. Virtual Currency Transactions:

While PaidInSatoshi provides virtual currency wallet services to merchants, we do not possess or control information about merchants’ customers. Law enforcement agencies requesting such information should contact the merchant directly.
